AYEPO Art Competition Online with the Message of “Peace, Unity & Hope”

The creative arts hold the power to transform communities, heal wounds, promote peace, and inspire others to be hopeful in difficult times. The competition which started in 25 June and finished in 28 July 2020 aimed to encourage Afghan youth with artistic skills and vision to submit their unique artworks (painting and/or drawing) that share the message of peace, unity and hope.

In this program 28 young artists from around the country and also outside, submitted their ART WORKS, which were all creative and meaningful. In the first phase, 10 works were shortlisted and then the judges selected 4 pieces as best works (Winners) of the competition.

AYEPO wishes to congratulate the emerging artists whose works were selected for the top positions in the Art competition. AYEPO also appreciates every artist who sent in their entries for the competition. Each work is a creative expression of the human instinct for negotiating and wishing for peace in a conflict torn landscape. The thought and emotions behind every work is equally valuable. The participation in this art competition is testimony to the potential that Afghanistan has to find beauty and creative expression that is poignant and powerful with a strong message for peace and harmony.
