AYEPO believes that conflict -transformation and peace-building skills are a very important part of any successful professional’s life. This is because while operating in multi-cultural work environments, it is important to develop inter-cultural sensibilities, grow in communication and negotiation skills to facilitate better collaborative relationships that would in turn lead to more inclusive and creative problem solving by the new age leaders of tomorrow. AYEPO’s programs are designed to focus on providing tools to develop emotional intelligence, social intelligence, conscious communication skills, inter-cultural and inter-religious communication and interaction skills while catering to different goals alongside helping the youth to look at the world in a more inter-connected way. AYEPO intends to help the youth to take up problems and work on projects to put their learning into practice besides developing its own monitoring and evaluation plan to track progress. In a systematic and thoughtful way, AYEPO thus seeks to develop a pedagogy for peace in Afghanistan that is at once global in terms of including the latest tools and knowledge as well as locally suited to address issues in Afghanistan.
